At the Beach

A peaceful afternoon at low tide.

Desert Rose

This beauty that thrives in the desert grows where we stay in Ixtapa

Restless Ocean

I was very happy how this watercolour turned out.

Beach Palms

I have painted this scene many times.  This version is one of my favourites

Historic Fence Collection

This is a Collection of Historic Fences in the Chilcotin area in central British Columbia.  This collection is from my memories of living in the Chilcotin in the 1950's.  These fences are mostly replaced by treated posts and barbed wire now.  A few still exist, you can find them if you explore the Chilcotin.

Rail Fence located in central British Columbia is a work of art in itself.
The Russell Fence is another historic fence, made only of rails and wire.
Snake Rail Fence is a third variety of historic rail fence. These old beauties have mostly been replaced by treated posts and barbed wire.
Historic Sheep Creek Bridge

This rail fence inspired the entire collection.  It is a work of art in itself.  I came across it at a ranch in Nazko.

Russell Fence

This fence is in the south Chilcotin.  You can see Mount Waddington in the background.

Snake Rail Fence

This fence is at Riske Creek.  You can see the "Dome" in the background

Sheep Creek Bridge

This is the bridge in the 1960's before it was replaced with the current concrete and steel structure.  It crosses the Fraser River just west of Williams Lake.

The Golf Collection

This is a collection about golfing at Palma Real in Ixtapa, Mexico

Palma Real signature hole # 15
Palma Real Golf
The ultimate Sand Trap
White Orchid

The signature hole # 15.  You tee off on top, cross the river and land the fairway on this par 4.

This is a pretty and challenging par 3 where you have an elevated tee box and small green to land.

The ultimate sand trap!  The tree gobbled your ball right up.  It has been taken out now.  I used to hate this sand trap but now I kind of miss it.

This painting does not match!  I painted it for my Mom, who loved orchids.

Linda Bartsch

About the Artist

Linda paints with watercolour and acrylic and does pencil drawings.  Her insiration comes from her surroundings and slightly over-active imagination.  Linda is retired and is an active volunteer in Horsefly, BC, with the Fire Department, the 4-H Club and the Board of Trade.  Linda started painting just a few years ago at a ladies fun night at the Anvil Pub in Horsefly, where she discovered that having a paint brush in her hand felt absolutely right!
